# 2FA

#### What is 2FA and how can it make my account safer?

2FA is an extra layer of security used to make sure that people trying to gain access to an online account are who they say they are. First, a user will enter their username and a password. Then, instead of immediately gaining access, they will be required to provide another piece of information.

#### How do I enable 2FA?

* In the Revuto app locate the „2FA“ option and tap it
* Allow 2FA by sliding the button
* Write down the code generated by 2FA in the Revuto app, preferably on a piece of paper
* Open the 2FA app ( you can get Google Authenticator or Duo both available on App Store and Google Play)
* Add new by pressing the „+“ in the bottom right corner
* Tap „Enter the key“
* Set the name (Revuto) in the first box
* In the second box enter the code you wrote down on the paper
* Confirm by tapping „Add“
* Enter the Revuto app and enter the 6 digit code generated by 2FA app

That’s it! Your Revuto account is now connected to Google aAuthenticator, which makes it much more secure!

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://revuto.gitbook.io/revuto/faq/2fa.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
